Hi Rang A Trí,
Hope you all had a nice bank holiday weekend.
I presume you all heard the news that primary schools will not be reopening before summer holidays. How do you feel about that? We will have to keep up our remote teaching and learning. You are managing very comfortably with it. Well done to you all to adapting to our new way of learning.
Last week we had Active Week. I really loved looking at your pictures. The range of your activities were wide. I saw pictures of people playing soccer, golfing, manoeuvring through obstacle courses and hurling. Others told me they spent time walking, cycling and bouncing on trampolines. It’s great to be active. Not only is it great for your body but it’s great for your mind too. Even though Active Week is over, continue with such activities. Keep sending me in the photos.
Last week, as well, lots of girls told me they were baking. Rock buns, red velvet buns and rhubarb buns were among the many lovely things made. Baking is great fun. If any of you bake this week, send me a picture of what you made. You’ll have to be fast clicking or else the lovely baking will be gobbled up. I hope to see some baking from the boys too. Baking is not just for girls. I hope to see lots of pictures this week.
I’m posting your weeks work. As this is a short school week (due to Bank Holiday Monday) you will have less English spellings. We will just have a revision week for Irish spellings. I have included a STEM activity this week. Please only use recyclables. Again send me pictures of your completed project by Friday.
I know lots of you watch the RTE education hub daily. Continue to do so.
Lastly, enjoy your week. Keep safe and continue to be kind.
Mrs.Tynan
