Sea Shore Exploration
Cork Co. Council Environmental Awareness Team would like to bring this educational resource to your attention. The Scoil na Mara video series which has been funded through the 2019 community environmental action fund and created by Mairéad O Donovan. The video series is an exploration and celebration of Irish Sea shore and biodiversity and the importance of the ocean.
Scoil na Mara Episode 1 - You Tube Channel
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QuSKcSpwjro
I want you to look at this video. Mairead tells about 3 creatures that live on the sea shore. She shows us the creatures and tells us what they eat, what they look like and some of their traits.
After watching this video, I want you to write the names of the creatures mentioned. Give me 3 pieces of information about each. Please do this exercise into your SESE copy.
Have a piece of paper and pencil in your hand while watching the video. The creatures names are spelt and other key words are spelt too.
This is a most interesting video. The next time you will be at the beach, I’m sure you’ll be looking out to see these creatures. Mairead also mentions plastic pollution and how it impacts on these creatures. I hope it makes us so aware of our actions.
During the month of May we should try to pray the Rosary. See the resources including Power Point Presentations on the Joyful, Sorrowful and Glorious Mysteries.
In your religion copy please list the Glorious Mysteries and draw a picture to depict each of the 5.
