Dear Parents,
I hope you are all having a nice Easter holiday.
As you are aware school closures have been extended until further notice.
From Monday we will continue to engage with our pupils through the website for all classes and google classroom for classes from 1st to 6th. I would like to take this opportunity to thank you all for the wonderful support you've given our teachers at this time by helping and guiding your child with their various assignments.
I'm aware that some families had difficulty accessing online resources due to poor internet before the holidays.
To avoid over burdening parents/guardians and pupils who have internet issues our teachers agree that insofar as possible in order to provide equal opportunity for all pupils and continuity in their education it is essential that they have the opportunity to receive the remainder of their school books to complete assignments.
Therefore we have organised collection of school books for tomorrow, Friday 17th.
I ask that you strictly adhere to the following procedure and all HSE guidelines regarding social distancing.
At your collection time using the ONE WAY SYSTEM we ask that parents park outside.
Please do not leave your car and have the boot open.
The teacher will place your child's bag of books in your boot.
Then please leave immediately.
At all times adhere to social distancing guidelines and if necessary queue at the designated social distancing area on the footpath.
Your child's books will be placed on a table at the gate and you will be called to collect them.
Again, once collected please leave the drop off area immediately.
We look forward to engaging with our classes once again next week and we hope that having their books will make it more manageable for all.
Keep safe and well,
Kind regards,
Carmel Walmsley.
